Corporate Headshots
Take a look around storefronts and websites. There are usually corporate headshots of key employees or the people in charge. These are fundamentally important to doing business because the general consumer wants to see who they are doing business with. It’s a way of personalizing the business rather than standing as a conglomerate or a faceless business. When there’s a photo, people are able to associate the name with a face.
When so much of business is done on the internet, it takes away from the personal effects that so many businesses for years have tried to create. When everything was done face to face, consumers got to see who they were doing business with. Storefronts worked hard at creating a calming atmosphere and making people feel welcome. With the internet, much of that is gone.
Corporate headshots allow corporations to put a personal touch back on the business.
Whether it’s to post on the website, hang in the office or at the front of a store, people want to see the faces of who is behind the businesses they are shopping with and the companies that they are working with. It allows for a more intimate feel so that it is no longer about a name.
There are really no reasons for a company or business not to have a corporate headshots.
Any photographer can offer them and they are generally very affordable. They can be posted on a website and printed and framed for an office or storefront. Vendors and customers can then see exactly who they are dealing with.
Finding a photographer to capture the true essence of the corporation is important. Everyone can be in front of a very non-descript backdrop or they can say something about the corporation or their position. For example, if it’s a baker, they can be in the kitchen, doing what they do best. If it’s a lawyer, they can be seated in a boardroom. If it’s a group of people, have them involved in something that the company is involved in, whether it’s in a courtroom, a medical facility or an architectural firm. This will help to personalize the business much more effectively.

Personalizing a business can be done in a matter of different ways, however it really all comes down to the people. Corporate headshots are the way to do that. Is the company run by young people or old? Male or female? Rather than filling a bunch of text on a website that people aren’t going to read, putting a photograph of the entire staff or individuals will personalize a business quicker than anything else. A photograph is supposed to speak a thousand words, so let those words talk about how great the business is by showing who’s in charge.
